Manchester Homecoming Committee

Even before officially joining the committee, I volunteered in hands-on roles supporting parade setup and event operations. In 2024, I made the decision to deepen my service by joining the committee and expanding my involvement.

This long-standing community tradition — now in its 40th year — is made possible through the collaboration of dedicated volunteers, local vendors, and multiple City departments. Working together, the team creates an event that Manchester residents look forward to year after year.

I advocated for the introduction of recycling at the event and helped lead a collaborative effort that made this progress possible. Between 2024, when a recycling campaign was introduced, and 2025, the amount of recyclable material collected at the Manchester Homecoming event increased fivefold. The success of the initiative reflects the commitment of city staff and volunteers working together to support one of Manchester’s most valued community traditions.

As co-chair of the Homecoming Parade, I organize and lead parade planning meetings for returning participants as well as new and future groups interested in taking part. I also assist with year-round efforts with volunteers and city staff to support the successful planning and execution of the Homecoming Parade.
